Chapter Profile

Students from the Faculty of Management recently founded India's first ICMA Student Chapter at CEPT University. The Faculty of Management (established in 2013) at CEPT University provides education and training in the area of urban management. Faculty of management offers a Master of Urban Management degree through a two-year, full-time, post-graduation program that equips students to learn about and explore organizational behavior of local governments, urban finance, ethics and local government, e-governance, urban infrastructure, social utilities, entrepreneurship development, marketing & branding, contract management, project management, negotiation & conflict management, and understanding of smart cities. The ICMA Student Chapter at CEPT University aims to bridge the gap between local government and academia through various initiatives like voluntary projects for urban local bodies, by providing a platform for students to interact with experts from local government via conferences, events, panel discussions, alumni discussions, by promoting several local government projects through IEC (Information, Education and Communication) activities, and engaging with other student chapters and city managers across the globe.
