Jeffrey D. Stoke has over 25 years of county government experience in Virginia and New York, authored more than $5 million in grants and helped create/retain over 6,000 private sector jobs. He has served as a county project manager for major industrial developments including: Best Buy Co., Inc. distribution center, Tioga Downs Racing and Casino, Lockheed Martin “Marine One” presidential helicopter facility, eCORP underground natural gas storage facility and Crosspointe Centre with Rolls-Royce and CCAM. Mr. Stoke has led a countywide small business assistance program, has administered U.S. HUD backed loan programs, and has offered educational, financial and technical assistance to small businesses. Previously, he oversaw façade and paint programs for historic downtown areas, organized community visioning sessions and administered U.S. HUD Microenterprise classes and counseling for entrepreneurial businesses. Mr. Stoke has guest lectured at James Madison University, Cornell University and Binghamton University on theories and case studies in economic development. Mr. Stoke has earned the professional designation of Certified Economic Developer (C.Ec.D.) from the International Economic Development Council and the Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM) certification from the International City/County Management Association. He obtained his B.A. in Urban & Public Policy Studies from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo and a Master of Public Administration from James Madison University. Currently, Mr. Stoke is the County Administrator for Prince George County, Virginia. Mr. Stoke is president of the Prince George County Parks and Recreation Foundation and previously served as president of the Owego (NY) Kiwanis Club and chairman of the Church of the Sacred Heart Finance Council (VA). In 2018, Mr. Stoke was presented the VLGMA Marcia Mashaw Memorial Award as the top Deputy County Administrator in Virginia.
