Emily Kilroy is Assistant to the County Executive for Albemarle County, Va. In this role, she works on local policy development, state legislative coordination, special projects, and strategic communications. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the County Executive's Office and the County's communications and public engagement efforts, ensuring we co-develop meaningful strategies to bring community members to the table to help shape policies, programs, and plans in an equitable and inclusive environment. She has more than a decade of private and public sector experience in bringing people together to solve problems, translating technical information into a cohesive narrative, and storytelling using data. She holds a master’s degree in Urban & Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from American University.
