Received his B. A. Degree from Mankato State University, Minnesota in Accounting, and a law degree from the University of Minnesota. Besides being an attorney, he is a CPA.
David Served two terms as the Elected County Attorney in Minnesota before moving in to County Administration. He also served as County Manager of Ramsey County, Minnesota (St. Paul) prior to joining Contra Costa County as County Administrator in 2008.
