Amy J.P. McEwan is the Interim County Administrator for Lake County, Illinois. Previously the Deputy County and Senior Assistant County Administrator since 2006. Lake County has 700,000 residents, 2700 employees, and a 21 member County Board. In her 27 year career in local government, she has enjoyed working at the County, City, and Township levels of government. She has served in both rural and urban communities working on a wide variety of programs and initiatives designed to better serve the public. Each day brings new challenges demanding ever more creative and flexible team approaches to solution building. Amy has a BS in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University, a MPA from Western Michigan University, a 2008 graduate of the Leadership ICMA program and attended the Senior Executive Institute in 2007.
