* Graduated from Ball State University (Muncie, IN) with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. Double majored in Political Science and Urban & Regional Studies.
* Graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, School of Architecture & Urban Planning, in 1987 with a Master of Urban Planning degree.
Work History
* 1987-1992: Began in county government as a Planner with the Guilford County Planning & Development Department.
* 1992-1999: Served as Assistant County Manager/Operations for Alamance County. Also served as County Planning Director.
* 1999-2002: Appointed as County Manager of Robeson County.
* 2002 to present: Appointed as County Manager of Pitt County on April 1, 2002.
