Michele Hylton-Terry is an accomplished and innovative Strategic City Planning and Redevelopment Professional with successful administrative experience, spearheading the development and implementation of sound initiatives. Ms. Hylton Terry began her career with the City of Fort Myers in 2003 serving as a staff assistant to the Planning Division. In 2005 she joined to the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) as the office manager. While at the CRA Ms. Hylton-Terry completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from Hodges University, followed shortly thereafter by a Master of Public Administration degree from Barry University. ” Ms. Hylton-Terry served the agency as a redevelopment Manager from 2007 through April 2018. She was appointed executive director of CRA in May 2018. Ms. Hylton-Terry and her staff executes and implements the redevelopment plan and strategies to revitalize the older and underserved areas of the City. In addition to Ms. Hylton-Terry’s professional position, her civic activities include serving as vice president on the Trustee Board of Unity of Fort Myers; first vice president of her beloved sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Fort Myers Alumnae Chapter; and serving as a board member for Basic Learning Skills Foundation. Ms. Hylton-Terry has participated on the United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades Allocations Team for the last 13 years.
