Steve Taylor has served as the Sherburne County, MN Administrator since November 2013. Sherburne County is located northwest of Minneapolis and has a growing population of approximately 95,000. He provides guidance and support for all County departments and provides long-term planning for the County in all areas. Sherburne County has a staff of 680 and a budget of $84,000,000. During his tenure, Mr. Taylor developed and implemented a pay-for-performance program, an employee engagement survey, as well as an intranet application to encourage better staff updates and communication. Prior to joining Sherburne County Mr. Taylor was the Assistant County Administrator for Carver County, Minnesota for eight years. Previous work experience includes holding various senior financial management positions with City and County of Denver, Douglas County, CO government, the U.S. Department of the Navy and Lockheed Martin in Washington DC.
