Jason Damweber began serving the Town of Estes Park, Colorado as the Assisant Town Administrator in January 2020, where he oversees the IT and Museum Departments, handles the Town's Risk Management functions, and oversees a variety of special projects, including the Town's workforce housing and childcare related initiatives. In this capacity, he represents the Town on a variety of Boards including the United Way of Larimer County, the Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center, and the Estes Chamber of Commerce. Prior to his transition to Estes Park, Jason served as Deputy City Manager of Takoma Park, Maryland from 2015 to 2020, where he was responsible for oversight of the Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, and Communications Departments. He also managed the city's legislative affairs and several ongoing special projects, and served as the chief negotiator with the city's unions. Jason also worked for the Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina in a variety of roles including budget analyst, management analyst and budget manager in the Public Works department, and most recently, Assistant to the Town Manager for Special Projects and Operations. Jason is an active ICMA member. He previously served as the Treasurer and Vice President of the Maryland City/County Management Association, as a member of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments CAO Racial Equity Task Force and the Government Finance Officers Association Generational Change Task Force, and is a graduate of the American Public Works Association’s Emerging Leaders Academy.
