ICMA@USC provides education, leadership, and professional development opportunities to prepare the next generation of local government leaders. Our Vision: ICMA@USC strives to be the premier ICMA Student Chapter in the country, and produce world class local government leaders. Our Priorities: - Developing local government leaders - Bolstering professional development - Achieving academic excellence - Engaging with our members - Sharing our knowledge and experience Who We Are: ICMA, the International City/County Management Association, is an organization devoted to the advancement of professional local government worldwide. Their mission is to create excellence in local governance by developing and fostering professional management to build better communities. As a student chapter of this broader organization, ICMA@USC strives to meet many of the same goals of ICMA, but places a strong emphasis on the needs of students and young professionals looking to join the national ranks of local leaders. Run by students for students, ICMA@USC conducts a number of programs and events designed to bridge the gap between local professionals and individuals looking to join their ranks. Through panels, events, case challenges, and more, ICMA@USC organizes nationally recognized programming each year. As chapter members, students can take advantage of a free membership to ICMA; providing access to job boards, career development tools, publications, and free registration to ICMA’s annual conference.
