Virginia Tech Student Chapter

Chapter Description

The Virginia Tech ICMA student was launched in 2013 by students in the Center for Public Administration and Policy. This mission of the chapter is to engage members through frequent discussions with leaders in local government throughout the commonwealth and career workshops and networking opportunities via Virginia Local Government Association conferences. Our primary goal in preparing local government leaders of tomorrow is to bridge the gap between local government professionals and students seeking to begin a career in local government. The chapter strongly encourages students to become ICMA members so that they have access to publications, career opportunities, development tools and registration to conferences.
