I became a municipal manager in 2018, after having worked with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for nearly 20 years. With USAID, I focused on programming related to democracy, good governance, and conflict mitigation in such countries as Indonesia, Bolivia, Colombia, Lebanon, and Sudan. I served as the manager for the Village of North Chevy Chase from 2018-2021 and then lived in Singapore with my family from 2022-2025. I was fortunate to be able to return to the same municipal management role with the Village of North Chevy Chase after moving back to the United States in 2025. I have loved working at a local government level and drawing upon good governance principles from my time with USAID.
